The Construction Specifications Institute is an association responsible for the development and publication of construction industry specifications. This new headquarters building is in the heart of Old Town Alexandria, Virginia. The placement and detailing of the structure at the corner of Madison Street and North St. Asaph Street reinforces the street grid of the city. Alternating stripes of dark grey and red brick establish a large scale cornice for the top floor and the color and textures recall the nearby historic brick townhouses with slate roofs.
