Before this renovation, merchants were hidden behind large round columns in the concourse of National Airport. Potential customers literally walked by the store before they knew it was there. Our solution creates a new “lease line” that integrates the store fronts into an undulating line that includes the columns. Store signage and visibility is greatly improved. The use of glass block and neon lighting are extensions of the “Art Moderne” style of the original airport.
