Ingleside at Rock Creek occupies a 12-acre, wooded site in Northwest Washington, DC, near institutional, diplomatic, and residential neighbors. Creatively configured to reduce the impact of the building volumes, it adds 112 independent living apartments in over 250,000 square feet of space overlooking a natural ravine and woodland stream. The design resolves environmental, site, zoning, and community issues, resulting in a project that preserves the topography, forestry, wetlands, and habitat in a rejuvenated and stabilized environment.
