The Mary Graydon Center at American University is the main student center on campus, the place to “see and be seen.” The building was originally constructed in 1928 and has been renovated many times since. The students requested a series of comfortable spaces in which to “hang out.” The new design creates a fresh, new look that is based upon the movement and flow of students. New finishes, lighting and furnishings are used to not only create separate identity and comfort in individual spaces, but to also reinforce movement patterns.
