The design creates a fun destination that strengthens the bond between the 1965 cast-in-place concrete church and the youth that are an integral part of the growing St. Petersburg community. To create an appropriate volume for 150 youth a new roof replaces the original. Changes in materials, lighting and ceiling height articulate various program areas from café to computer room to assembly. LED lighting, bright colors, comfortable seating and audio-visual systems combine to create a place the youth call their own.
